Protools Authorization?

This is probaly silly BUT
I got a used Mbox off craigslist. I installed Protools, everything fine.
To open protools for the first time you need to put in the authorization code, which is said to be inside the getting started manual. I put in the code starting with the letters PN. Invalid.
I put in the installation code. Invalid.
I even put in the serial number. Invalid.

Is this not working because this Mbox may already be registered?
Am I putting in a wrong code, I put in 3 different ones, in a bunch of different ways.

Mbox

Your authorization code should begin with DIGI followed by numbers. You also should have a transfer of ownership from the seller on your Mbox, very important.

the serial number has nothing to do with it being registered or not, it would work regardless. Be sure to follow the code verbatim though, caps DO matter, usually it starts with DIGI in caps, and subsequent letters are lowercase.

Are you sure the Getting Started guide version number matches the version of PT you're installing? i.e. If you're installing PT6.7 it shoulds say something like "Getting Started with Mbox v.6.7"
