Hi, I'm seeking some some advice/direction/enlightenment looking into getting hold of an analog 8 or 16 track recorder Can anyone tell me anything about TEAC 85_16 recorder Or any advice on other 8/16 track models -Otari, Studer, MCI TSR-8 seems budget but I hear it's not that great. be greatful for any input . . |

in my (humble) opinion mci's are the best bang for the buck; and really simple to use and troubleshoot if something does go wrong. they made some cool jh-110 1" 8 tracks, as well as a ton of 2" 16 tracks. what is your budget? chris |

thanks 4 the tip chris . . . budget I guess would be somwhere between £300 - £700 - that's roughly $450 $1000 -i think probably looking to try 'n pick something up second hand - though if the unit's in need of a service then it's probably not gonna be worth while that way I'm guessing . . john |
