| Gear addict | Rosetta AD to a MOTU 828 mk1?
I have a question for Motu 828 MK1 users. I'm currently using an outboard Pre that goes into a Rosetta AD, and then to the computer via SPDIF in a Focusrite Safire. The thing is... the Safire isn't rackmount, so, I was thinking of trading it for an old Motu 828. (I absolutely need something rackmount, and the extra INs from the motu wouldn't be bad either) Here's my question. Is it possible to use an old 828 just like I use my Safire right now? (Does the MOTU 828 have a SPDIF input that will be recognized in all tracking software?) BTW, I know this is a google question, but I searched for 15 minutes before I figured I could ask here thanks |

Oh, and also... Will it be possible to clock the MOTU 828 with the Rosetta? stupid questions maybe, but I don't want to make a bad move! |
