Larger speaker in the LSR range, I think they are passive, and discontinued

Yup, they need an amp, and they are about the same price as the 6328

specks look great but...........

I wish they were discontinued it would make it easer to just get the 6328s

I own the 6328's (not the current model) and they are great, particularly for rock, really nice bass, easy to listen to hours on end. I'd recommend them at the price, I don't think there wold be a huge leap to the bigger model in terms of quality, plus you'll need a $$$ amp to justify it.

I was at Sound Hound in NYC last weekend in their 5.1 mix room. They're using 5 6328Ps and 1 6312SP. Given the room, the stereo mix /w sub stunning. So much so, that I've just ordered a set for my room. Although I'm not set up for surround mixing at the time, the deal I got was so nice, I may buy the other three units (6328P) now and get it over with.
