Does this have any real-world potential?

Apparently this thing is supposed to simulate tons of different speaker types. Has anyone had a chance to work with it?

Does it have potential?

The "logic" of having a one-size-fits-all speaker emulator that does not take into account the particular speakers it is playing back through.....well, it sure looks like snake oil to me.

The results of the speaker "emulation" will be all over the map, depending on the speakers the users owns. Seems really goofy to me.

Reminds me of my Behringer Ultra Curve Pro 24

(always confused the shit out of me)

It was semi usefull as I moved around as a freelncer to tune my Genelec 1031A's in to each new control room to a 'target curve' I had set...

I would worry about thru delay when overdubbing in the control room...

Favorite is always getting the room right in the first place..

But the flip side is it's not always possible to get the wrecking ball out and go for a $1Million rebuild every place you work at....

Seems kinda neat to me....

I'm sure it does its intended job very nicely....Too bad that job is to remove the cash from newbees pockets by making them believe this crappy box will sound just like expensive monitors. Buyer beware!
