Impedance Matching Box?

Is there an impedance matching box that has selectable impedances? No amplification, just impedance modifcation.

Don't say VIPRE because I'm only interested in the dedicated box.

The application would be for mics. Or instruments. Actually outboard gear too.

An 8 channel box would be cool. I could hook it up to the patchbay and twiddle the knobs between patch destinations!

Sounds like a job for little labs... An 8 channel unit would rock.

Hmm I did something kinda similar but it's not totally variable:
I built an 8 channel box that switches between line level impedance and mic pre impedance, the switch has -20 and -30dB attenuation...just enough to get it in the range the pre's can work with. I send the outputs of my Lucid 8824 to it and use all my nice pre's during mixdown(Neve3126, Langevin AM16, Siemens V276, MP2NV etc...most of mine don't have a 'line in')
I have an old 8 channel CBC line mixer that we souped up to sound better, I use it to combine everything back to a stereo pair...works great!!

henry engineering has some useful boxes...I have a few and they sound quite good...you can also adjust the levels

I have the Little Labs PCP and red eye units. Great for reamping, using guitar pedals, etc, but you can't select the amount of resistance. Is this a new product you speak of?

I got a little kind of glossy card with my IBP showing a DI with multiple impedance settings. Don't have the materials at hand.

I don't just want a DI, I want something for balanced signals too!
