Peluso P12 vs Miktek CV4

Hey Guys, i'm looking to buy one of the C12 Mic Clones.
Of course paying for a real C12 is not an option.

I would be using it primarily for Vocals & Electric/Acoustic Guitar recordings.

The two i've been considering are:
Peluso P12 (maybe even the 2247LE if the P12 gets bad reviews here)
Miktek CV4

Any of you guys had a chance to compare the two?
Whats your general opinion of the better way to go?

Thanks,

haven't heard the Peluso, but can vouch for the Miktek. I love the combination of accuracy and fullness in the CV4. However, not everyone does. My 2c.

We use a P12 and love it. In fact, I purchased it based off a single vocal that dudleys100 did in his studio. Super creamy!! I would classify it as the most "silky" mic I have ever used. Not necessarily the best (no such thing imho) but very smooth. I cannot comment on the Miktek as I have never had any experience with one.

Actually, the P12 might be a good comparison to the Cv4 with more bottom and more top.

Thanks Johnkenn! i could really use your opinion on this... if you could have only one Microphone for all of your recording, which one of these would you choose, the P12 or CV4?

I haven't used a P12 in so long, I don't know if I should/could go into the differences in the two...I'm just going by memory. You really probably wouldn't go wrong with either. I own a CV4 and love it...Great mic...

Bump. I'm interested in picking up a new mic, and would love some more opinions between the Miktek and Peluso (or others). Really keen on the Miktek based on recommendations of others on this forum whose opinions I respect.

P12 is still my go to vox mic. Sold my vintage u87, and blue mics after getting it (not for financial reasons)

I also prefer it to the Peluso 47 clone
