Lets do it! What's your favourite thread?

What's your favourite threads here at Gearslutz? Why?

Mine would have to be Paul Frindle - Is This Truth Or Myth? -

In addition to getting into more philosophical debates, Paul really separates the wheat from the chaff in terms of the many myths that surround digital audio.

Another one of my favourites would be the one where people preferred the sound of a behringer ADA to an 'exponentially' more expensive converter!

Lynx Aurora 16 vs Behringer ADA8000

Much Humble Pie was had!

Tho there is some less than great bits, it's a wonderful time waster:

stupidest things you have ever heard during a session.

Another is RBZ's thread that keeps te giving spirit alive:

More free stuff....let's do it again!

However, I really like both the Frindle and the Lynx/Behringer threads as well!

The slate thread

I didn't buy the beta version but the thread has been quite funny to follow in parts.

There is absolutely no question - the greatest Gearslutz thread ever is the one in the Remote forum where people discussed various strategies for recording John Cage's work 4' 33".

So I just recorded John Cage's 4'33"...

John Cage would have loved every moment of it!

And if you need a little background: 4

Being a drummer of 20 years, I can't keep away from the Pictures Of Mic'ed Up Drum Kits In The Studio thread.

I'm also formulating ideas for my own personal facility, so I've been loving some of the pics posted in the Post pics of your home studios! and Show me your studio 2011 - no setup too small! threads.

I can tell you what posts I DON'T LIKE... Any threads involving debate between certain Mic Modders we've all become far too familiar with, or any thread debating the ejection of one said Mic Modder from the GS forums.
