RADAR-DAW Transfer

Hi, i work in a studio equipped with OTARI RADAR-I system connected to a AMEK desk. It sounds great, but the downside is editing that is next to tape-recorders (no waveform visuals, no mouse etc.).. So, i heard that there is a possibility of connecting it through SCSC connection with standard PC with SCSI controller, and copying RADAR's files onto PC, and back to RADAR. Is this really possible, and if so, how does PC sees those files, and is it possible to convert it to standard .wav format for use in Nuendo? This would make great progress in speed and funkcionability for us, so please, if anyone knows how it works, i need detailed info... i know that most flexible way of using RADAR with PC would be through ADAT expansion that is pretty hard to find... 'cause it is RADAR-I, not RADAR-II, which has it's own adat expansion not-compatible with my version...

thanks in forward...

Contact the nice folks at IZ, go to www.recordingtheworld.com and you will find the contact info. There is also a forum at that website where you can post this same question that is monitored by their techs.

I just went through tthat, but I have a Radar 24, I had to upgrade some hard/soft ware in order to transfer out the ethernet to my PC in broadcast wav which pro tools sees. Not sure if radar II will upgrade that far, But IZ does have very good tech support. Even if your not the original owner......Mike
