M-Audio launches high-end monitors ???

If these are going to be high-end monitors, I dunno:

M-Audio have not really been high-end in their products, that's for sure!

I recently did a shoot out with a bunch of monitors and for the money M-Audio monitors sounded pretty good to me. They did not comptete with higher end DynAudio but for a low end monitor they were pretty darn good. I would be interested in hearing these.

I have been using BX5's at home for a few years and I liked them to begin with but now they annoy me. My mate has Alesis moniter ones and I prefer the sound to my M audios which sound very 'matchboxy' if that makes any sense. They are very difficult to mix on and it doesn't translate very good, compared to the genelecs at work which are very revealing and accurate( down side they can be fatiguing).
Surely any company with money for research and development can design top-notch speakers so I'm sure these will be fine. Depends at what price range they are aimed at to be regarded serious by the big boys

I heard them at the NAMM show. They had them setup in a "sound isolation" booth. While I didn't hear them against a bunch of other monitors, I did think they sounded impressive. If I remember right they are in the price range of $1200-1400 a pair. I'de love to try them at the studio once the're shipping. Everyone I know that heard them liked them alot.
