| The link in the middle didn't work for me... the one on the top looked like a Horch, the one on the bottom looked like a Soundelux U-99... if they're both the same I'm going to guess U-99... but I've been wrong before and I know I'm going to be wrong again. ![]()

I've fixed the broken link so it should be even easier to see. So, Horch or Soundelux, huh? | |

The look is very Soundelux but as far as I can tell it doesen't identically match any of the Soundelux models currently available. The U99 doesen't have a chrome ring around the bottom. Seeing as Fletcher chimed I don't think it is a Horch - the Horch does not have a Chrome band at the bottom either. In nutshell, I don't think it is a Soundelux or a Horch - but I have no clue what it is NOW - who is the screaming DUDE in the middle with the Beard!! ![]()

| My U99 has a chrome ring on the bottom. That's how you get to the tube. That is an exact version of the shock mount I have. tmy favorite shock mount but it's lasted longer than the one that came with the U195. |

| Lives for gear | U195's don't always have the rounded top -- in fact, do they ever? The ones I've seen have a flat (not domed) grill on top. Also, I think they're a little darker black -- like no grey at all. The lighter shading might be the photo.

| Not sure about U99 I have a U99 in my lap, s/n 003, it looks very similar except the bottom section isn't threaded. At least one version of the U95 had a threaded bottom. |

| It is pretty damn rare that I laugh out loud in front of my computer, but this stuff F'in hilarious, I am glad no one is around!! oh yeah on the mics...I could have sworn seeing older pics of U195's with a Chrom ring on the bottom but the recent pics show a black body and no chrome ring at the bottom. Doesen't the U.S. Soundelux distributor roam amongst us ?? Come out I say and settle this will ya! P.S. Damn you OKDen, you stole my next frikkin avatar!!! ![]()
