Adjusting guitar setup

After adjusting my Fender Am. Strat's setup using the standard procedures (for truss rod, action and intonation) I still find the action a bit too high for my tastes. The problem is that when I lower the action, I get fret buzz. Any recommendatins?

Get somebody to set up your instrument that knows what they're doing... or get a different instrument.
