Im not interested in buying one i was just reading an ad and it kind of creeps me out... a bit like when you hear the Line6 variax acoustic.. just not quite right! Are there any users out there? what are your experiences / opinions? also line 6 have just released a pre with "dsp" so it makes it sound "neve-esque" or "API-esque" anyone heard anything about them? cheers |

I may say something that starts the flames a burning, (Make it medium-rare please), but I got a liquid channel about 5 months ago: (I wanted to know where dynamic convolution is at this point in time. I believe that this field will deliver some new in interesting things in the next 5 years). I have several of the items it tries to “emulate”. Does it? Not to my ears. Is it “usable” yes. I would “try” it: 1. In a home studio with limited cash. 2. if just starting and wanted to try some “different” things. 3. Had a need to “carry it around”. Final comment: You must listen to this it is not a “safe” bet: Like APIs, Great River, Neve, GML, etc etc. If you’re in love with one of the pieces it “emulates” buy the real thing. This is really my experience to date.

i agree, i have had the misfortune of using one of these. i personally think that some "cheap" preamps sound better and have more charachter. it doesn't come close to emulating anything it says it does. it's poopy dfegad |
