Thread Starter | Big problem recording guitars in control room
I'm using pro tools 8 HD and when using the guitar amps in the the control room, the guitar is picking up the sound of the track played back on my speakers. The sound comes throught the 4x12 in the other room and is being recorded on the track. When we use a click coming through the speakers the click gets recorded on the guitar track because the guitar is picking it up. This just started to happen recently. Any help with be appreciated |

Ya... Your better off with guitarist wearing cans not only to stop the click bleed but to get a better performance. Its far easier to focus on the click with less room effect from the sound traveling through the control room.

Pickups must be a bit microphonic...Are you also having trouble with excessive feedback? Try cans as suggested. J |

Old and/or cheap cables can become micro-phonic as well as pickups. Blew my mind the first time I heard click bleed on a DI guitar track.

Thank you, I tired three different guitars, three different amps, the funny thing was is that we shut everything down and only had guitar to amp to cab and we could hear talking coming through cab standing a few feet from guitar. What about some type of ground loop in my studio or something causing this problem
