Aux send without mixing desk

Dear slutz,
I'm changing my studio setup - going mixerless. My idea is to have everything ( ins and outs from computer, eq's, compressors, reverbs, summing boxes, etc.) on patch field, so I can route anything to anything else. Summing box is Tubetech SSA2 - so, no inserts on it.
My question is:do you have any suggestions on HOW COULD I SEND SEVERAL TRACKS, PROCESSED "OTB" , TO THE SAME REVERB INPUT?
Thanks for any help on this!

Very simple in Nuendo 3

You can add an external effect such as a rev. unit and use it as an FX track which would be your return track.

Than you select it in your aux sends (on your channel control) and then adjust the amount of send you want.

Uh? I think he means..Once he's out of the box...and has hardware on the signal...How do you get that signal to a reverb...

Like sending a snare that has outboard Comp/EQ to send 1
Then a Vocal with outboard Comp/EQ to send 1 as well...

When I was mixing in my Mix system I came up with a unit..Sort of half assed but it worked. Since I've been flying my tracks over to SX3 I've been using inserts because of the Auto-Delay comp.

But I wanted to design a passive send box for guys summing..I have the idea..I already sort of use it from time to time.. I thought Dangerous had a unit coming?

That's exactly what I meant. I just checked that Dangerous thing you mentioned-that would be a perfect piece for my needs...anyway, I couldn't find any details on it (is it already out, price, etc). Any idea on similar products?

no..I'm wondering if that thing was vapor-ware. I saw a pic once on here...or maybe it was a link. Can't remember.

That is way I wanted to come up with some thing...If I had the dough.

I have been thinking about building a 4-channel "mixbus" which would have 4 inputs, 4 knobs, and 1 output. (and build 2-4 of them and rack them near the patchbay) I would use this in combination with some mults to split the signals off. it could probably be done passively but I'm not sure what would be best.

There are summing boxes that have aux sends. There is for example the ADT Toolkit:

Yeah well...my idea...NOTE: I said it here first.

I was going to make a few ch's..Lets say it's 8. In a 2space rack. Each channel would be a mult..You'd run say a vocal into ch 1. There would be a mult of that run right back out to your summing box..(that signal untouched). Then say each ch has 4 sends...I was thinking of making them passive..(So it's like a transformer split..Like a spliter box for recording)..So each send only cuts..So now when you send that vocal to a verb you just turn down the gain till you have the amount you want going to it.

If that makes sence...You could also maybe use this on an analog board to get more sends out of it...

You'd just patch in what you need when you need it.

simple: mult each relevant signal, one to your summer, the other to a little portable line mixer. mackie ( ) or speck or whatever you have.

use this mixer as your fx send bank. route the output of your fx units straight to the summing box.

is good?

Thanks - to everybody!!
I was thinking about incorporating small mixer in system, just to use sends, but I found serious tech guy over here-he will try to build a custom (Dangerous type) device for me.
By the way, the only place where I could find - at least - a picture of Dangerous Send is
http://www.dangerousmusic.de/products/enpromixer.html
and price in Europe is around 1500 Euros

Thanks again for your help

Don't know if something like this would help you out:

I am doing just that. I only have a stereo line mixer now for balancing my effects returns with my direct signal.

I have three effects. Currently 2 SRV2000's and a tape echo. So out of my mic pre, it goes into a 1/4 line distributer (under 100 bucks) and from there it goes to one channel on the line mixer and three inputs of the effects units. It is actually a 2 channel box, so I use one channel for the guitar mic and one for the vocal mic, using a 2 channel mic pre.
