Signex Isopatch Pro review

I just installed two units. I have a few thoughts that might save others a little time. No, a lot of time.
First off - I'll tell you it's a very well made unit. I couldn't be happier. The setup took more planning than I anticipated, however. If you're ordering dsub to xlr breakout cables, it's tough to split them up for equipment that is more than X feet away from each other that you might want to appear next to each other on your Isopatch.
I had to make some physical location compromises of equipment because of this. Make sure that you order singles instead of the (8) channel cabling like I got. Unless you specify, you'll end up with this most likely.

HERE'S THE BIG ONE!! I redemed myself with this one. If you've looked into this product, you've noticed that they use solder pads for normalization settings. This scared me off at first - not only the work involved but also the work of changing it back. I am a terrible solderer.

The answer - a $14 circuit writer from Radio Shack. Comes off with nail polish, goes on like a pen. Took about 5 minutes per bay. I really hope this helps someone!

This is a great tip. I never heard about this product. Can you provide a link or more info?

Thanks!

Cheers
