Pro Tools Exporting Audio question.

Hi guys,

Last night I was finishing a mix when I noticed that my clock wasn't set the right way, it was at 44.1 and it should have been at 48 khz. My problem is that I like it a lot better at 44.1 and when I do the final bounce or when I record the mix to an other stereo track I cant export the files burn them on a cd and hear them as I do in the session. I always hear them with the same pitch as 48 khz.

Is there any way to do this?

I have Pro tools 7.1 running through a 192 with a Big Ben.

Thanks for your help!

Max

Is there a way to do what...? Do you want to upsample/convert a 44.1 kHz sample rate mix to 48 kHz sample rate mix?

You can easily do that by just importing your 44.1 kHz audio into a 48 kHz PT session. PT can do the conversion on the import audio menu.

The session was at 48khz and the big ben was set at 44.1 so I heard every thing with a lower pitch, witch I liked. When I export or bounce my final mix I hear it with the higher pitch. So my question is, can I export my final mix and hear it lower?

Yep.

In the PT "Import Session Data" dialog menu you will find Sample Rate Conversion Options.

Stay in your session and use Export Region as File which is located in the audio files menu on your right. You might want to consolidate from start your tracks. then you can select either the sample rate and if it is a mono o stereo file.
