Thread Starter | Can anyone identify these mics.
Let's start with the end-addressed microphone, probably an LDC. YouTube - nationalpost's Channel Also the guest mic in CBC Radio Q with Jian Ghomeshi. I obviously can tell the host's mic is an SM7b but the guest mics seem to have a foam piece at both ends. Is this some kind of Neumann mic? YouTube - Billy Bob Thornton 'Blow Up' on Q TV |

The first seems to be HEIL PR 30 and second AKG D 224e with its dual windscreens Matti |

Thanks for the info, Matti. I guess the AKG mic is the unusual or discontinued one. And wow, both are dynamics.
