Which WiFi? (To Control Logic w/ an iPhone)

Do I need a special WiFi connection to control Logic from an iPhone?

Or are all WiFi's created equal?

Which WiFi? (To Control Logic w/ an iPhone)

Hi, I haven't had any experience with iPhone yet but my iPad now works flawlessly with logic under the touch osc program and wifi. I use my normal home wifi which is 802.1n and seems stable and quick enough..although unless you have iphone4 you will be forced to use slower wifi which depending on the traffic of your existing network may need to be setup as a separate network. Not sure what apps your using but the couple I saw had some detailed info for setting up the phone and host, check the app developer page. Good luck!

Thank you! I have feared wireless stuff since my children's remote controlled toy tank used to scare the hell out of the wife and me when it started up in the middle of the night for no good reason and raced through the house like a Stephen King monster. So I don't know much about wifi today, I just saw this quote on the AC-7 DAW controller site:
This is not for beginners, you have to understand advanced MIDI, have a STRONG wifi signal, and you must understand how to sync controllers to your DAW.
A strong wifi signal -- and you say I may need a slow one (though I'm going to buy an iPhone 4, so this may not be relevant). Still, seems a little complicated...
