747 tubes broke? whaddayathink?

Hi guys,
just tried to use my Avalon 747 with tube path and one channel has no signal anymore (or almost no signal). when I switch the tube path out everything is working fine again. could this be just a bad tube or does it look like different electronic part gone broke?

Where do I get good tubes for the 747, preferably in Europe?

Any experiences?

Thanks & Rock on!
Pat

which tubes should I go for? I don´t wanna spend lots of doe on something that might not even solve the problem in the end. which type is a solid, non-expensive replacement for the 747?

A good starting point would be to get the same that are inside.
Buy them in pairs so L/R are identical.

As far as I can remember they aren't too expensive.

Ask the guyz at Avalon - I think it's not a common tube inside, or at least the implementation is a bit unusual. But I knowthe tubes are not expenssive.

When I had the 747 and looked inside it was an easy to find one. Something like GE. But I'm not 100% anymore.

BTW I just ordered another 747. Should arrive in the next couple of days!
