People need more information if you want help bud.

I.e. if you exclusively played techno club music completely in the box with no actual live instruments ever being recorded and had no intention of recording anyone else you could sell a bunch of mics and buy yourself a workstation..... etc.

Lot of good stuff there though. thumbsup

Edit - I would immediately sell the sonic maximizer though, no matter what you are recording. :D

BBE is actually quite useful as a single-ended noise reduction device for transferring tired old recordings.

Huh, I've never had the need to do that but that makes perfect sense now that you mention it. IMO they do more damage than good for most mixes, especially for people who are relatively new to the game.

OK, I'll bite. I currently own, have owned, or have used extensively all of this equipment except those pieces for which I've offered "no opinion". Over the long term, some of this gear has gained acceptance as industry standard recording tools, specifically: the Auratones, the PCM-70, both Sennheisers, both AKGs, and the SM-57s.

Recording gear:
Fostex E-16 recorder - Keep It
Seck Model 1882 MK II console - No Opinion
Digi 002 Rack - Keep It
Presonus Digirack LT - No Opinion
LA 610 MKII - Keep It
G5 Mac 32 inch monitor - Keep It

Monitors & Poweramps:
JBL 4311 - Dump It
EAW MS-30B - No Opinion
Auratone 5C Super Sound Cube - Keep It
BGW headphone amp - Keep It
Hafler Dm-220 - Keep It

Outboard Gear:
BBE Sonic Maximizer 422A - Dump It
Alesis Micro Verb - Keep It
Korg SDD-2000 Digital Delay - No Opinion
Lexicon PCM 70 - Keep It
Aural Exciter Type C - Dump It
2 DBX 163X - Keep It

Mics:
3 Sennheiser 421's - Keep It
2 Sennheiser 441u's - Keep It
Akg D12e - Keep It
Akg c451e - Keep It
Studio Project c4's (Stereo Pair) - No Opinion
MXL 993 - No Opinion
EV 644 - Dump It
