Thread Starter | Sound Card Sample Rate Question
I have the M-Audio Audiophile 2496 sound card that I use just for playback of iTunes, completely separate from my PT setup. When I export 48k files from ProTools, iTunes can play them just fine, but I was interested to see that my sound card control panel does not change from 44.1k to 48k when I play the 48k files. Also, at random times, importing 48k files into the iTunes library seems to make the sound card control panel revert to 22.05 (half of 44.1), and then everything sounds like crap. Anyone have a similar experience? Its a pain when you just want to know what your mixes sound like through standard computer speakers and converters. |
