Oh my God, I'm so addicted !

I just realized!

You can´t really tell by my message count but I am addicted to Gearslutz.com. Someone told me about it last summer. I lurked around for a while and then one day I signed up 'cause I needed some advice.

I had been addicted to music magazines such as Sound on sound, Mix, Keyboard, Future music and so on. I suddenly found the need to buy one gone. It was enough to go to Gearslutz when I had the urge.

I tell everyone in the music industry that I meet about the site. How great it is, how it can solve your problems, give you new ideas. I´ve learned so much. It helps me understand many thinks, gives me ideas..remind my buying that Charles Dye dvd..

But now I am slowly realizing..Every off minute of my time is spent on my powerbook checking on Gearslutz, "what's new?..something interesting ???" "so much gear, so little time" " "Hi end" "Is somebody selling something I need?". Many times a day, many times a night I am here, lurking, looking, surfing. I go to lunch, I take my powerbook with me, find a restaurant with a Hot Spot so I can go to Gearslutz as I eat. I sit with my family eating the dinner after a long day I´m tempted to open the computer just to check...

As I'm writing this it is 5 o'clock in the morning, I just woke up after three hours of sleep, decided to check on Gearslutz before I go back to sleep for another 2 hours.

The last thing I did before going to sleep before was Gearslutz.

This happend last night too!

Oh my God, it is true, I am a Gearslutz junkie.. AND I LOVE IT!

Karl

My name is cletus and I am an addict
I'm addicted to Tape Op as well but I can't get a fix like I can here. Surfing gearslutz is almost as good as the rush you get from buying gear!

Hi Cletus...

There was a great Doonsbury cartoon I saw once..

It had a guy in the film business in an open top Mercedes talking on the phone to a friend.. who asked him where he was going, the guy driving said "I am on my way to an NA meeting!" then the guy calling said "but you aren't addicted to drugs!" and they guy driving say "I know! but thats where all the big movie deals are done these days!"

Try the chat room.. as much as I want to take part in that, its usually as good as a cup of hot milk to get me off to sleep. Its not the conversation.. For me, I think it is the need to type everything.

So.. if you cant sleep, hop on the chat for a while, say hi to fellow engineers & producers around the world for a while...

Wellcome Cletus!

A tall massive, screeching door opening and Marty Feldman alias Igor looking through the cleavage. "Yes? ... please?"

On a dark desert highway, cool wind in my hair ...
