New Avid Pro Tools question

Right now Im running PT 8 with a Digi 003 and I was wondering if its possible now with the changes that Avid has been making to ditch the Digi 003 and instead use a pair of M-Audio Delta 101LT cards ? I may be completely off base here , but it looks like the new Mboxes come with PT LE instead of the M Powered PT , so I was wondering if this would work. I was hoping to switch back to using a console and I thought this might be an easy way to do it

Hi, I've had mboxes and 003s in the past and all of them (old and new) have always come with PT LE - never with M-Powered. I'm almost 100% sure you cannot use m-audio interfaces with PT LE or vice versa

New Avid Pro Tools question

You can use your 1010LT with Protools M-Powered, purchase it separately.

Your 003 and all MBoxes are LE only, and should have come with the software.

Sort of in this territory, which ProTools software does the M Audio Profire Lightbridge work with? Just M-powered software ? Or also with LE ?

I don't need pres ... or even Pro Tools for that matter, but the Lightbridge would be cool for use with other stuff I have and in the process, if it works with LE, that might give me a reason to also buy LE at some point.

New Avid Pro Tools question

Here's how it works:

LE is the home studio version of ProTools for any USB/FW interface branded "Digidesign" or "Avid".
It's expandable only in the software, you can only use a single interface at a time, and you cannot go outside the means of that one interface.
The interfaces you can use with LE 8.0 and up currently are:

Digidesign 002 family
Digidesign 003 family
Digidesign MBox 2 family
Digidesign Eleven Rack
Avid Mbox family (aka Mbox 3)

Nothing else will work with ProTools LE.

ProTools M-Powered is almost the same (with a few exceptions as to software expandability) but can only use interfaces branded with the "M-Audio" name.
And again. Only one interface at a time. A pair of Delta 1010LTs will not work - you'll only be able to use one of them.
