Tell me about it. I probably use closer to 1% of SONAR 8.5. It's pretty silly in a way how much functionality is there that I never use.

Exactly!

Just 'cause you only use 10% of your brain doesn't that mean that the other 90% is wasted!

Its like, if I study like hell for an exam, and only 10% of what I learn comes up on the exam, does that mean I wasted 90% of my time?

If a guitar player takes a solo, and only plays 5 notes, does that mean that there are "useless" frets on the neck, or that he wasted his time learning where the other notes are?

Music is a discipline, and discipline requires self-control and restraint from superfluity.
