DI Box or XLR to 1/4 cable

I'm currently using XLR -> 1/4 cable to connect from my Vocal chain (MP20 - DL241) to my Hammerfal 9652. Would my signal be any better with a XLR -> DI box 1/4 -> Hammerfall????

Thanks
Pockets

I take it that you have the AEB4-I/AEB8-I ADC expansion installed.
The 1/4 input on that cards is TRS so you should wire your XLR/TRS cable to get the symetrical signal into it.
If you use a TR 1/4 plug on that cable you give away your symetrical conection for no reason.

P.S.: there is no difference between the signal on a 1/4 TRS and a XLR other than the form/look of the plug.
