Microphone for flamenco dancer

Hi, I would need to mike a flamenco dancer on a 5m x 5m dance floor so I can really pick up the tapping of her shoes. Is there any mike that you would recommend for this? Thanks

Try a boundary mic.

Small super card mics

A combination of a PZM or PCC mic and a small format super cardioid has worked well for me on tap dancing for live reinforcement.
I imagine it would work for recording and reinforcement on flamenco as well.
You need a few of the shotguns to cover the entire area if the performer moves across a big area of the floor.

The pzm or pcc mic is more for the boom and the shotgun for the click.
If that makes sense.

I like these for tap.

PCC Series

Plus:

AKG C747
C 747 (Discontinued)

Too bad they discontinued the original c747.
I think they have a new speech optimized version.
