Beat Detective quick guide please !

I've never used Beat Detective but need to do so tomorrow. I will be recording drums that are supposed to be quantized exactly to a loop on clients request. How do I do it ? Can someone please save my life and give me a quick BD-for-dummies guide ? Like 1. Select quantize source file 2. select files to be processed and so on...

Thank you ever so much !

There are also these articles which give you more of an overview/step-by-step:
http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/aug0...toolsnotes.htm
http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/sep0...toolsnotes.htm
(plus there is a good one from SoS December 2005 where an engineer talks through some sessions, step by step, but you'd need a subscription/copy of magazine)

If you give me some real specifics about what you're doing I will be happy to write it all out for you.

Sometime tonite or you can call me while you are doing it tomorrow.

Peace.

Ok, I'll be the first idiot....I stink at acronyms anyway.....
What is RTFM?

(Is is just me or do we have as many abbreviations and acronyms as doctors?) "Use the 414 in an XY, plug in 14, patch that into the 512 and dump that in to the 1176 and finally in to the 560."

I would usually concur, but IMHO it's not written very clearly.

Kenny, thanks for your kind offer ! Got it figured out myself.

To you other smartasses... I would RTFM if:

1. I wasn't stuck in session day & night

2. I had the manual since I'm a logic user myself

The manual worked for me. It took me 15 min. to figure B.D. out. But maybe I am a slow learner.
FWIW Beat Detective is not totally accurate anyway. - The human decsion element will most always work better.
