Ha! I haven't even heard one... I'm getting ready to record a Rhodes, so I was searching GS for threads concerning that, and everyone seemed to agree that the REDDI is where it's at. I'm wanting that sound on "Everything in it's Right Place" by Radiohead. It makes me feel like my chest is going to explode. I'm hoping the REDDI will get me in that ballpark... Anyone have an tips on getting that tone?

you might want to find a Phoenix Audio Nice DI before you commit any cash.
If its the same DI as in the DRS-2 (and i believe it is) then Its nice and open, airy. Would give your Rhodes a little more of a mic'd fender cabinet vibe in terms of how it sits in the mix.
plus you get 2 of them for $675. so if you're running stereo vibrato/tremolo, yer gonna need 2 DI's anyway.
The Phoenix is awesome!! We got one like a year ago and it's in constant use. The Groove Tubes Brick also gets a lot of use at our place. We did a shoot out between the Brick and the REDDI, the Brick was hands down the better sounding unit.
wow, did the same thing here and it was completely the opposite result reddi vs brick. reddi also won out over pend quartet and great river di's as well. application was bass and other line instruments - not rhodes tho. i haven't heard a di i liked as much as the reddi - it's really beautiful sounding.

Or, if you (les) aren't, what'$ your agenda? First a Brauner sounds 'like fingernails on a chalkboard' and now this??
FWIW I think that the Reddi sounds gorgeous on Rhodes. The only thing I can think is better is a miked up Fender, and then it's not so much a better sound per se but a different one.

I'm glad you are supporting my position concerning the REDDI.
...in general you never know who you're listening to on a forum. Just when you think you're talking to somebody whose taste you trust, you find out that they think slap bass is more relevant than ever...
It's the blessing and the curse of internet anonymity... LOL 'slap bass more relevent than ever'....
Just ordered a REDDI. I couldn't handle it anymore! I was considering getting a P-1 for my lunchbox (which I will still be doing, of course), but apparently my Shadow Hills Mono Gama will really-truly-seriously-no-really be shipping um... soon, so I figured I'd just get the DI first, and add the pres (also a Biz) in the near future!

I think the ultimate bass combo has to be the REDDI and the Red EM card. Insane. Red=good.
