Speck Electronics?

Has anyone heard of Speck Electronics? I just saw some eqs on Vintage King. They look like SSL strips. I'm looking for a couple more channels of decent eq to run on things like overheads and room mics. They look interesting. Has anyone ever played around with one?

They're great all purpose EQ's, coupled with their 5.0 mic preamp it makes a very nice channel strip too.

The Speck EQ is really about the best you are going to find at that price.

Interesting fact about Vince Poulos of Speck: I think he told me once he used to work for Ike Turner.

I'll bet he has some funny stories then.

Thanks for the replies. I'm a little torn because I have a certain amount to spend and I think I want to buy another pair of Avedis E15s. I really would love 4 more, but without buying an 11-space lunchbox to replace my 6-space, I only have 2 more slots. However, I need 4 more channels in all to get my drums printed the way I want. The Specks looked like some decent eqs that might get the job done. Any other opinions? Anybody that owns or at least has used these things?
