Heyas, I'm looking to buy new monitors and I've pretty much narrowed it down to these three contenders:

S1A and BM15A? Very different monitors... maybe S2.5A vs BM15A could be comparable in some ways...

No doubt they are different. Would you say the main difference is the physical size, and thus more extended bass response for the Dynaudio, or how would you best discribe the sonic difference? The UK price for these three is about the same for a pair, thus I have them here. Spacey | |

Yes, well. I don't know how they are priced in the states, but here the street prices are (ex. VAT):
The quoted specs don't differ that much either, but of course quoted specs don't mean much. So, does anyone have any comments regarding the sonics of these monitors, compared to the others? Even just a comparison of two of them. Thanks again. Spacey |

The Adams seem to throw people off, so nevermind those in this comparison. How about just the Dynaudio and the Quested then? Anybody can share their experience with those two? Ta muchly. Spacey |

Don't know the others mentioned but I love the bm15a's. Been mixing on them for a couple years now, the studio I'm at even has two pairs, one for the main studio and one that floats for the other rooms. I will say that they're not really nearfields (midfields?), we have them on the meter bridge but you need to roll your chair back a bit to get the full sound. I'm used to how they sound wherever I'm in the room but this might help your choice. |
