x-desk compared to chandler mini mixer

Hi,

I am thinking of buying something to sum out off the box...but so many options...

Does the mini mixer has pre-amplifiers (the things i have read about the mini mixer says it had amps...)?

Is it comparable to the x-desk?

What would you choose? And why?

Thanks

The mini-mixer has line amps not mic-preamps. However your comparison would be better suited to the Mini-Mixer vs. the X-Rack (not the X-Desk, though their sound is comparable). The X-Rack (and X-Desk) are clean whereas the Mini Mixer is definitely colored (read: mid forward and aggressive).

All depends on what you're looking for. The reason I said compare the Mini Mixer to the X-Rack is build quality. The X-Desk is of lesser build quality than the X-Rack. The X-Rack also brings full Total Recall to the table and can handle 32 channels of summing/mixing in a single X-Rack chassis.

Personally I would choose a 32 channel configured X-Rack over the Mini Mixer but that's just my preference.

Is there anyone who tried both the Dangerous 2 Bus and the SSL X-Rack summing modules?
I am in the market for a 16 channel summing system and I am looking for a very clean signal path.
Is there anyone who has used both and can provide a comparison?
