a box to convert balanced line level to instrument level ?

I looking to start re-amping.

so i'd like to get the balanced line signal coming out of my D/A converter into my guitar amp input.

I know i can buy one of many re-amping boxes out there. but i was wondering if there was an inexpensive adapter or direct box that will do the job.

thanks

Try a passive DI in reverse.

I got a Re-Amp a couple of weeks ago. I've only used it a couple of times so far but am really impressed with it, it's simple and sound great. I couldn't believe how good the last bass guitar I recorded sounded as I got a BSS 133 DI box at the same time and together they are awesome

thanks fior the responses !

after some research the passive DI in reverse is the best option for me right now.

but yes, i will eventually go for a dedicated re-amping box. either the reamp or the radial x-amp.

thanks again

I had to (wanted to) use a passive DI in reverse, but it didn´t work at all.
After takin a look at an oscilloscope while sending a test signal through the
unit, i knew why...
It degraded the signal extremely. Can´t tell ya if it would´ve been the same
with a different DI box.

Let us know how it worked.

will do.

after some searching around. i decided I'm going to spend more than i was planning to and get a radial JDI. I downloaded the manual, and it said you can run it in reverse and it will work great. (at least thats what they say)

so i'll see if they're right and report back. i'm ordering it in a couple of weeks after the holiday craziness.
