Got a new (okay, demo) Mike-E EL9 coming from Warren and co. at Zen Pro, and there's absolutely NOTHING wrong with my Dave Hill tranny-modded, LT opamp suped up Presonus Eureka. Nothing at all. Solid, solid pre that works well with my modest mic collection and shines as a DI on my bass.

Just a slutty, slutty indulgent buy. Now on to the next challenge. How to blend it in the rack without the wife noticing. You gotta clear at least three months with a piece of gear before you can claim the -- "That? Oh, that thing, I've had it for forever" defense.

hiding it out in the open.. create confusion, make her doubt of her own mind, almost never work but it's your best bet
