Fast Track Ultra 8r, 24bit 96khz Problem?

Has anyone who has an ultra 8r or has used it, have you experienced any problems with recording in 24bit, 96khz? Does not matter the daw, it will always fuzz and click on 24bit/96khz..i've tried many different solution, like turning off 3rd party programs/plug ins running, or checking cables, doing the proper windows optimization, etc, but none have fixed my problem, and the m audio assistance was not helpful at all. I'm running windows xp sp3
intel core duo 2
3.0 ghz
2.49gb of ram

Any help, or any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

No, I've never had any problems with mine. The problem with running it at such a high rate is that you could be taxing the DSP, especially if you're using the onboard monitoring effects. I have tried it at 96 but generally speaking I run it at 48kHz/24 bit and it performs flawlessly.

Either that or you have a bad unit.

Resurection

Yes!! I am having the same problem! I know I am reviving an ancient thread with my first post on this so I don't have much hope for a reply back. But yes indeed 24bit 96k gets a fuzz every 4-5 seconds when playing audio on armed tracks. Not sure what to do about this one.

Yes i have the same problem.. and i recognize another bug, when you change the sample rate, effets response difrently. example: for room3 96 khz more clear than 44 khz. I want to use this gear at it's full capacity. I dont use any effect in daw and cpu is in normal usage... it's so stupid, i trust M-audio and don't buy EMU or others, but compatible fiddle-faddles are bullshit!
