FCS Pico II prototype

Hello all!
I just won A Pico II prototype.
I asked the seller and was told it was built by Foote and it's a transformerless design.
Should I add transformers to it? What would be the best transformer? I'm new to DIY.
What should I expect? I'm planning to use it as a bus comp. Paid $438. Good price?
here's the ended auction:
FCS Stereo Compressor - eBay (item 220645917952 end time Aug-06-10 10:23:13 PDT)
Thanks!

Roger Foote makes great gear. I'd say you picked up a good deal. I have a pair of the 500 series pico comps. They do a great job compressing and staying out of the way. If you want more "mojo" from a comp, then definitely go the transformer route. All depends on what you are looking for.

Thanks for the reply!
Moro mojo sounds good! But clean comp is also good. I have a lot of mojo coming in already...
I'm going to wait and compare. I was even thinking about switchable trannys.
Any pico II owners want to share opinions?
Thanks alot!
