the following list of gear is unbalanced, correct?

hi ,
need to have some custom wires made to patch in gear.i am assuming the following pieces of gear are unbalanced. please correct me if i am wrong.

unbalanced gear
---------------------
moog parametric
yamaha spx-90
lexicon pcm42
lexicon primetime II
frm rnc

rnc balanced ?

i think the rnc has TRS jacks so it IS balanced
just check on their site if you do'bt have your user manual ?

actually it might not be balanced on both ins and outs

for the rest I agree with you

No... the TRS jacks on the RNC are for an "all in one connector" input/output connection... it allows you to do things like hang the RNC off the insert point on an RNP or Great River ME-1NV... so no, the RNC is not "balanced".

Now... if I remember correctly [and it's been a bunch of years] the PCM-42 and the Prime Time II can be run with either a balanced or unbalanced I/O...

You might want to experiment with a little RTFM for confirmation one way or the other.

the rnc's are unbalanced.
i also have a feeling that the lexicon's may be balanced-able, especially the prime time.
the spx is most likely unbalanced. don't know about the moog.
