I thought this may be of interest to some;

BBC Radio John Lennon Season

This week, Thursday 8th, is the 25th Anniversary of John's passing. I'm sure there will be more to come in way of commemoration, but Radio 4 (BBC) are usually pretty good and thorough in their productions.

The first one was aired last night and is available to hear online as from Monday. It's an interview John gave to Rolling Stone in 1970.

Hey, thanks for posting this! I might have missed it.

Is anyone else having a hard time with the fact that this happened a quarter of a century ago? And that John was only 40?

I was in 3rd grade when he was shot, but I owned a few of his 45's at the time so it struck me as something meaningful. It's hard to believe it was that long ago now.

I was in the JL mood...so, I went and picked up a copy oy the DVD: 'Lennon Legend' The very best of John Lennon

Quite dissapointed.... I wanted to see some video of John singing in the studio.... do 'n his thing...It's all sappy home videos over studio tracks...Yoko was the EP....

Anyone know where I get some good raw studio footage? like in the 'Stand by Me' video...

The 'Wenner Tapes' is very interesting. Check it out.

Personally, I think John was talking very close to the event and was being quite harsh and emotional on those around him, but there's a lot of insightful words there.

My favourite bit was when he was saying about the Beatles being the biggest bastards of them all (in the context of 'needing' to be a bastard to make it in the industry).
