HELP! Need advice regarding power amps. (Control room montiors)

A partner of mine has a pair of large control room Tannoys, and the infamous TABS's with the big horns (like the 813's).

What kind of amps are studios typically using to run these monstrosities. We've got a Bryston 4B for the NS-10M's.. and now we're at a stand still regarding which amp to purchase for the big boys.

I'm guessing 300/400 watts per side at 8 ohms would work nicely.. I donno, i'm open for suggestions.

Thanks in advance,
Al-

Oh, please provide pricing on the amps you may suggest.

The 4B SST is a pure dual mono design and offers 300 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 500 watts into 4 with over 1000 watts available in bridged mode.

A 14B would be nice, then you could turn the gain down on the amp. Running amp's at full power is not always recommended.

I like to get an amp that's more powerful and turn that sucka down a few notches....

That's why a lot of people use 4b's on NS10's. The speakers are rated at 100watts and the amp drives 300.
