Question "Truth" or False? Why the hush? "I want my "Mapo""! - I mean monitors!

I'm a frustrated musician/engineer. I researched and researched as much as possible my next pair of monitors, I decided on the Truth Audio TA-1P with power amp, (not sure of the amp yet).

I go to the Truth site and see this: http://www.truthaudio.com/why.htm

Is this some kind of excuse to the aftermath of the hurricane?

I don't mind waiting a short while but who knows what's really going on down there.
Anyone have any info aside from what's posted on the Truth site. I mean is this really the "TRUTH" and worth the wait?

Well i would recommend getting a used pair of the monitors. I have the TA-1A's and due to me being an idiot i blew the amp. Although the company is not selling new monitors right now, there costumer service was outstanding. They got back to me right away and sent me out a new amp for the monitor, so i highly recommend not only the sound of their monitors but the company itself.

That's cool and good to know! Anyone know what's really going on within the company?
I'd like a new pair but will settle for used if the right deal comes along.

I'm planning a monitor shoot-out in Feb/March. i emailed Truth when I saw the anouncement on the site. I got an email back (from Shannon the owner I believe) in about 5 minutes that said there will be monitors by then.

Question

I may hunt down a used pair of passives. Any power amp recommendations in the $500 range for them should I find a pair?

Feb/March is a long wait for me, I needed monitors for a while now and finally made up my mind. Feb/March in this industry could be April/May.

Antone know who is taking them over?

Feb/March was the date I asked about, not the date Shannon have me for having monitors available. you should click the email link on the site. I've heard nothing but good about Shannon and every time I've had questions he got right back to me. You're speculating a whole lot here without doing any real research.

I did email them about a week ago and no response as of yet, that's why I decided to post and get some real world user opinions. I'll try again.

the site now has a login and you can't even get into it. Does anyone know how to get ahold of Shannon? They are not answering thier phone and can't find thier email address. My friends power amp just blew up on his active truths and can't find out how to get the part.

Any help would be appreciated. Shannon are you on here?
