drum mic mounting system

Anybody have any recommendations for a drum mic mounting system? Ideally, I liked to have drum mic mounts for a 6 piece kit. I have a pretty full band coming in and don't really have enough stands to do the work proper. I know there are different connector systems out there, i.e. how the mounts hold onto the rims, so hopefully someone can enlighten me on what seems to work best and last the longest. No sense in buying something that will wear out/break in a year. Thanks slutz.

Then get stands. In my experience, the clips break very easily and limit your micing possibilities. I always end up spending way too much time trying to get the mic in a decent position and always give up and then the drummer hits the mic, the clip falls off, or something comes loose and the mic is bouncing around on the drum.
Talk to someone at guitar center about their cheapo boom stands, tell them you're buying in bulk and need a deal and then tell them "the last time I was here I got these stands for $20 a pop." They have some crazy mark up on them. GC gets them for $13.xx and sells them for $40. (or at least they used to)
Boom stands can be used on anything and can get a mic into almost any position. Do it and don't look back.

Stands are the best, but if you want something fast and cheap these work ok.

+1 I used to work at GC () and there's a big margin on those (and a lot of their inventory... ). Buying online might be less painful.

If you do want to use clips, search for "drum mic clips" and there are several threads comparing, detailing, etc... I looked into this a few months back and found copious info and opinions, but I can't remember the winner, sorry.
