Acoustician / room analysis in SF Bay Area

I've finally learned to appreciate that the money I spend on acoustics goes a lot further than spending that same amount on a plugin or mic or compressor. So I have decided to spend some money this upcoming year on getting my room analyzed and set up by a professional acoustician or studio designer. I have both a control room and live room that I'd like to have looked at, which are located in an industrial building. Both rooms are somewhat treated right now and sound much better than they did a few years ago, but I think things could be even better.

I need recommendations and referrals from you guys for good studio designers and acousticians in the San Francisco Bay Area. I'm looking specifically for someone to come to my studio, evaluate the current state of both my live and control room, do some tests/analysis, and then make some recommendations, which I can then implement over the following year as funds become available.

Thanks,
Brad

How about Bob Hodas. http://bobhodas.com/

He should still be in the bay area. He is one of the best.

Thanks for the link!

Doesn't David Moulton live in the Bay Area as well? Anyone have any experience with either of these gentlemen?

How is your room treated now?? Number of bass traps, type of traps, first reflection acoustics, size of room and so on would help..

Your right on the money, a good sounding room is the better then any other piece of equipment in your room..

Let me dig through our past orders to see if I can come up with a few people who might be able to recommend someone.. God knows we sell a lot in the bay area..

Hey Glenn!

We've emailed before. I'm "redwagon". Feel free to contact me and I can give you all the details. For what it's worth, I was planning to pick up some of your traps in the near future to address some of my issues in my live room.

If you have any good recommendations, please pass them along!

thanks,
Brad

I just spoke with Manny on the phone today. What a great guy! Very knowledgeable and helpful. He gave me a ton of great tips on addressing some of the issues I have with my room. So now I have a long list of things to implement. I think after I try his recommendations, if I'm still not happy, then I'll have someone come down to shoot the room. It seems like I'm on the right track.

Thanks to all for the great recommendations.
