Best for voiceover: Brauner Phantom C or Microtech Geffel M930

Hy everybody

I want to resume my very long dilema since I'm in the process of buying a voiceover mic but I can't try for myself.

Brauner Phantom C or M930

I'll use only for voiceovers/spoken word/narrations in TV/radio jingles and/or commercials with very clean and clear preamp (presently I use SafeSound Audio P1; in the near future I like to invest in the MetricHalo ULN2-DSP). At the moment, my humble mic locker is consisting of RE20 and Senn MD421 II)

The price is not concerning me 'cause here in Europe the price difference is only 100 Euros.

Many thanks in advance.

Sven

FWIW the Soundelux U195 has been winning in the customer demo shootouts surprisingly. It's 12k presence with a dip in the high mids is basically why. Regardless of what you get, it's going to be ultra processed in post, so they are all going to work fine.

Yup - check the link "matucha" gives, man.

I own both these mics (and a ULN-2!) and I'm a voice-over artist so I've done the work for you, just sit back and listen! LOL!

You want the Mic A vs Mic C shoot-out, which was the Phantom C vs M930 (Mic B was the TLM103).
