How to fade one song into another without a "Gap" between tracks???

So, i lined up the tacks, they sounded awsome while listening on the DAW... The fade from one song to the next was perfect...

Then i bounced, and now there is a "Gap" of silence between the songs on my Ipod, and on the CD's i burned... Any advice?

Thanks
Ian

Are you burning the tracks with no gaps? How's it play in iTunes? Or whatever application you're using to play things back after the DAW.

Toast has that feature. There is a default 2 second gap, but you can turn that off before you burn the disk.

Use sony Cd architect. This will allow you to lay your tracks as you want them, gap, no gap, fade ins, anything.

does it not also depend on the playback device? we had an album professionally mastered where we requested a few tracks have no gap between them. When he played them back in his studio they were exactly as we wanted them but I have not found a convential CD player yet that does not impart a 1-2 second gap between tracks (I should mention I've only tried it on cheapo consumer CD players, car stereo's and DVD players)

I haven't had a problem with CD players but I have found this with some DVD players. I needed a cheap CD player for checking burns in my studio a few years ago and I found it was way cheaper to buy a DVD player. It used to have a pause/gap in between songs. I had to go and buy a CD player anyway.

My Recordings/Credits

The cross between the songs has to land exactly on a CD frame boundary - so each song region has to be an exact multiple of 588 samples.
