Which one of these pieces of gear would be best for my pedalboard?

Hello. I play alot of metal, ALOT of metal. Death metal, Black Metal, Thrash metal, all kinds of metal I love and play. I am getting a Fullbore Metal Pedal and a Digitech Whammy(I am building a pedalboard). I can get one more piece of gear for my setup.

I was thinking of a KFK Equalizer so I can easily mod my sound in the distortion, but then again the fullbore metal already has a EQ built in so I am afraid of getting a horrible sound with probably even a lot of feedback.

I was thinking of a DB-01 Crybaby from hell, but I am unsure about that because I don't know how much I will be using it(I will probably use it alot but not constantly.)

I was thinking about an Overdrive pedal, A hardwire Tube overdrive(Im running through a solid state amp) to add some more crunch to my distortion, but the fullbore metal has soo much crunch as it is, tat idk how it will turn out.

Would anyone suggest one of these pedals? Or another pedal?

Thank you.

The first thing I would suggest is a noise gate of some kind. Especially if you are adding a lot of gain.

As a big distortion fan myself, I would suggest getting that tube overdrive. Then you can dial in a little tube OD, some fullbore, and a little drive from your amp to get a really complex and detailed high gain sound. This often allows you to get a dirtier tone while retaining more clarity. I always front my Mesa Rectifier with a DIY TS 9. Really brings my distortion tone to life!

well... Tat sounds like a good idea then! But which one should i get? It's gotta be $150 or less as I am on a budget. I was looking at the hardwire tube overdrive, an ibanez tube screamer(not sure which model tho), a digitech bad
monkey, and some maxon pedals. I'm running on a line 6 spider 3 amplifier, I wish I could get a better amp and I am saving on it but rite now I have money for a pedalboard I'm trying to build up. Would u suggest any OD pedals? Thank you, and sorry if I am bothering you.

This is not meant to be dismissive in any way, but you should post over at The Gear Page—many, many more guitar players over there.

Get a really good tuner.

And a Tube Screamer-style pedal (I love my Maxon OD9 Pro Plus) never hurts when you're trying to achieve tight metal tones (depending on the amp, of course).
