Thread Starter | Summit TLA-50 - anyone tried it? Does anyone have any experience with the Summit TLA-50? I own a Summit MPC 100A and am currently trying to persuade someone into buying a Summit pre. However, that someone is on a tight budget and the TLA-50 is pretty inexpensive. I just need to know if it's a killer or not. If anyone owns or have used a TLA-50 I would love to hear your opinions. Thanks. |

| I use 2 TLA-50's...they're good. I don't track with them because I have other stuff, but on mix down the bass sounds GREAT through it. The other is used on snr or gtr. micah |

| Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but the TLA-50 is a compressor. I have one and although I'm not too experienced, I think it works great. It can compress quite a bit without mangling the sound. I use it very lightly while tracking bass, guitars, and vox. In mixdown I use it for bass and vocals. I'm really glad I have it- PC |
