more than any ONE synth, you are hearing texturizing... this guys is the Aphex Twin of this style of music. I love his stuff... very innocent but funky and FINALLY someone else besides myself who LOVES using children in there tracks, they just add so much innocents and emotion to any ambient music....... anyway, try re amping some very cheap casios through old nasty broken speakers or record them to an OLD 80s cheap 4 track cassette..... then slowing them down, running them backwards and take the parts you like ..compile them into something emotional.. also think, recording ambient noises around the house( to cassete tape) FIND ONE AT AN OLD THRIFT SHOPP, lowering the pitch or rasing it, re amping.. andding noise fliiping backwards... etc etc etc... sound design... there is no ONE synth that will get that for you. What you are hearing it interesting sound design and textures created by a great producer.... have fun..
