I'm so sorry this happened to you. This is a horrible, horrible thing. Obviously, a lot of treasured gear there. I wish you guys luck getting through this. I assume you guys have insurance for everything - or almost everything.

How did this happen? Was someone careless, was anyone hurt?

Good luck getting back on your feet again

What is not lost in the fire, is only hardened - forunately, and unfortunately, this is the case. Ultimately, this will hopefully make you stronger (and unfortunately, a little less open and trusting, etc. - which SUCKS)

i just hope the culprits are brought to justice.

even if you don't get this gear back, these thieves have accrued a deadly dose of bad karma.

I think maybe a "master thread" of stolen gear should exist where gear can be reported stolen (or retrieved) in a concise way. Anyway, here goes my attempt to start one:

silver AKG C414

Stolen from Clear Lake Audio. Notable markings are the words "Clear Lake Audio" etched into the body of the mic. Also it has a red pigtail with XLR connector.

If anyone sees this mic being sold, the studio may be contacted at (818) 762-0707 or via email at cla@clearlakeaudio.com. It went missing on 12/17/05.

Thank you.

Is it common to find Avalons without PSU's?

Someone should contact Avalon in case someone orders some shipped to Stockholm.
