Any SCA mic pre suggestions for spoken word w/ SM7B?

I have a Shure SM7B and I am trying to match it to the "right" pre for spoken word. I have been considering getting a few N72s for guitar mic'ing and want to match the pre for spoken word if there is a good one.

I would have guessed that the A12 was the right fit but the description doesn't really mention anything that supports this guess. I am comfortable talking mics/pres for guitar but am totally out of my element for spoken word. If it matters, this would never be used for vocals; just spoken word. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I tried searching for N72 shootouts w/ spoken word but all is vocals/singing. Is it the same? Should I just be looking for a good vocal pre?

If you need "Big" and "Clean" (but not sterile) then the J99 may be something to look at but I use my N72's for just about everything, including mixing through...
