Hello there Dragging up an old thread, but is there any mixcube style speaker we can buy for real-world applications? (ie. as ubk/gregory said the 2,3k-8k roundabouts)

^those seem a bit expensive just for a grot test (or as some like to do, mix in mono). I appreciate the recommendation, but if you have time I'd like you to give more specifics about why you 'love them'.

When I looked them up, they don't seem to be what I'm looking for? or what this thread is about for that matter. I don't need an extension to 35khz.

Love for you to elaborate

The Pelonises (Peloni?) are definitely not grot boxes, they're the opposite: extremely precise and detailed, but small and focused along the lines of Lipinski's. With the addition of the right sub bringing the extension down below 100Hz, they could serve as mains and compete with anything and everything that costs 3 times as much. They have an eery neutrality, no resonances at all, it takes some adjusting to hear music colorlessly and know what to do with it.

Mine sit atop my JBL's and replaced my ns10's, although I miss those damn ns10's and will probably bring them back into the fold when my new room is set up. They let me tuck a vocal in like nobody's business.

UBK, Rise from your grave and tell us what happened with your idea for mix cubes, I live in the land of the pine, we have manufacturers down here that could make your enclosures.... Get with it, I love my Mixcubes BTW, newer model, Piano black.
